ITSC MEMBERS STORIES

On a wet and dreary Sunday morning with the rain lashing down and the track to the club awash with water and my poor mini driving through what can only be called a river covering said vehicle with copious amounts of mud. Anyway, pulled up at the club house to find that only the Airgunners were up for it and the 25 metre range deserted. Luckily Martin came along and we opened up the range, another chap arrived so at least two of us could do some shooting. Martin took the first detail and I set about loading up my revolver. I'd just managed to fill two chambers when the shutter on the powder flask broke. I didn't have any other means of discharging powder so only two rounds were fired. Martin had to leave at 11:20 so I took the next detail whilst the other person plinked away at the target. As the weather was so bad we decided to call it a day and finished at around 11:50. John was busy putting up some shelves in the new container and would stay behind to finish off and to lock up. Tomorrow I'll take the flask into work to see if our workshop can repair the shutter. With only two shots fired that morning cleaning the gun was a doddle, just had to clean the two chambers and wipe off a minor amount of powder residue from the frame and cylinder. Better luck next week perhaps? Cheers.......Maddie
